Seminar “Farmstead income assessment for the purpose of social assistance policy”

On November 27 Center for Social and Economic Research CASE (Warsaw) and CASE Ukraine presented the results of the research conducted for the project «Social reform in the country with high role of unobservable incomes: improving social assistance mechanisms in Ukraine».The Project is co-financed by the Polish aid programme 2009 of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.

A group of experts has studied international experience of approaching the problem of agro-income imputation for semi-subsistence and subsistence farms and developed methodological proposals for Ukraine.  The developed approaches were used for simulation of potential consequences of the normatives application for the people as well as social assistance costs.  The results of the efforts were presented during the seminar.
