The key goal of the project was development of a framework for fiscal risks assessment. The framework was intended to become an instrument for decision making at the Finance Ministry of Ukraine. The instrument should be applied during the budget planning process and for day-to-day monitoring of budget execution.


The goal of the project is identification of the main bottlenecks in the continuation and accomplishment of privatization in Ukraine with further analysis of the problems and development of the recommendations.


CASE Ukraine participates in research of resource potential and production capacity of liquid bio-fuels. The goal of the project is analysis of production effectiveness of liquid bio-fuels in Ukraine as well as promotion of agricultural sector producing components for bio-fuels.

CASE and CASE Ukraine successfully co-hosted the International WINDS of CHANGE Conference on March 23rd and 24th in Kyiv, Ukraine. Two hundred outstanding researchers, policymakers and representatives of international organizations and financial institutions representing over 30 countries attended the conference


The project aims elaboration of assessment mechanisms for measuring risks, which threaten stable development of the economy. The mechanisms should become a part of decision making process at the government for preventing of “unexpected failures”. The instrument also could be useful for monitoring of the government decisions efficiency.


The project’s main activity was the preparation of the reports representing overview of Ukrainian heating sector and electricity and gas markets. In addition to general description of the situation and existing issues in energy sector the reports offer detailed picture of the ownership structure and tariffs policies.


The project aims at analysing non- tariff obstacles to trade flows between Ukraine and the EU. The results of the research will point at solutions which could help to lift these barriers.


The ENEPO project seeks to examine different aspects of the European Union’s relations with its neighbours to the east (the so-called “eastern neighbourhood”). Primarily, it focuses on the economic features of an EU Eastern neighbourhood.


The project’s main activity was the preparation of the report, “Prospects for EU-Ukraine Relations,” which focuses on economic policy options that will be relevant to Ukraine in the next five to ten years. The report discusses economic integration, and takes into account both the Ukrainian and EU perspectives.
